09.08.2016  Thank you, Saratoga!

Living. Loving. Local.

We in TOGA know the all too familiar signs that the summer season is winding down. The last day of the Saratoga Meet has passed, and there is a nip in the night air that makes us crave apple cider and visits to the pumpkin patch while we welcome back our extended family of Skidmore students.

The memories of summer linger with us long after we’ve packed up our summer whites after Labor Day and watched the last hot-walkers leave the track. For us, that includes the incredible reception of our TOGA Collection. After planting the seeds of anticipation on social media, opening day of the Meet brought the launch of our lifestyle line. We are humbled by your feedback on our TOGA items and are equally thrilled to watch our love for Saratoga blossom into a line of products called “must-haves” at local events and in area publications.

PaperDolls of Saratoga — our collaborator and flagship store — has serviced our retail customer in person and on the phone since our premiere, but we know that not all TOGA lovers are local. To ensure you can still receive the same level of customer service and access to our growing product line, we will be launching an online store in the coming weeks. Look for new and exciting products and ways to create custom designs to fit YOUR lifestyle.

Stay connected with us to hear the latest TOGA news. For customization options or to become a retailer, please contact Deborah at Deborah@DeborahDePasqualeDesigns.com.

Thank you Saratoga! We are thrilled to be your new neighbor.

07.22.2016  And they’re off!

Like horses at the starting gate, we’ve been chomping at the bit. Not only is today the first day of the world-famous horse racing meet at historic Saratoga Race Track, it is also the day we have some big news to share.

The TOGA project was borne out of a collaboration between Deborah DePasquale Designs, LLC and PaperDolls of Saratoga, LLC, both of Saratoga Springs. The classic design, exquisite printing, sourcing of high quality products and the marriage of all elements into the creation of elegant lifestyle materials bring together the specialties of these two design houses.

Deborah DePasquale Designs, LLC and PaperDolls of Saratoga, LLC have partnered on many client projects, both specializing and contributing to high end events, personal and business branding, and lifestyle projects. The organic development of that relationship led to this partnership where both establishments would be able to showcase their expertise and their passion for their hometown of Saratoga Springs and the surrounding area.

Deborah DePasquale Designs, LLC is a lifestyle brand that can assist with any personal or business branding or home design project including elegant events and full spectrum rebranding endeavors. DDD truly is your source for Couture Events and Stylish Services.

PaperDolls of Saratoga, LLC boasts a design studio that will assist in any personalized stationery that you require for a special event, business use or day to day in your home. Their retail location is on Broadway in the Saratoga Marketplace and is your one stop shop for Bespoke Design and Curated Gifts.

The TOGA line will be on display and available for purchase at PaperDolls of Saratoga through Closing Day of the Saratoga Meet, Monday September 5th. Please visit us to see what we have curated for this project. We truly hope that the goods we have chosen to offer in this line are a joy for many years to come. Should you want the TOGA design on any other item or if you would like us to personalize a design for you, please stop by to share your inspiration and your ideas!

We are thrilled to welcome you to TOGA!

10.29.2015  Big News: We’re Moving!

After four years in our Beekman Street studio, we’ve decided it is time to shake things up. And so, we bid adieu to our beloved space in the Arts District and are temporarily moving operations into our home-based office.

Our clients have been asking us to meet them in their own spaces — mostly their homes and sometimes their businesses — to help them craft the perfect design solution for intimate at-home or at-work affairs, assist with home decor and interior design projects, or suggest recommendations for gifts, favors, and the ilk. Moving our studio in order to best meet their needs is the natural evolution of our company and practices.

We’ve loved our time in Saratoga’s Arts District, and as excited as we are for this next chapter in our company, it is a little bittersweet, too. Deborah spent time as a child visiting the district with her family to purchase the famous “Scudder” sub, and opening the studio on Beekman felt like a homecoming of sorts. The support of the district’s businesses and visitors makes us feel grateful and blessed.

But we are also grateful for our clients and the support offered from friends and family (especally Deborah’s great love, her husband). They keep us motivated to provide the best services possible.

There will be further company changes as we add services and relaunch our website and blog. (Follow us on Facebook or sign-up for our newsletter to stay in the loop!) We are available to plan, style and consult on events of all varieties. We create truly chic celebrations for memories that last a lifetime, whether that be full-scale wedding and event planning to advice on gifts, favors or home decor, to help planning at-home, smaller, more intimate affairs.

We invite you, our friends and clients, to come help us with our send-off in the same fashion we opened the studio. We will be hosting a celebration on November 7 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. as the last hurrah of our Beekman Street Studio (located at 51 Ash Street in Saratoga, on the corner of Beekman and Ash). Rena’s Fine Flowers will be partaking in the festivities as well, as Rena has been our long-time neighbor and is also moving her company out of the building.

We hope to see you there, and look forward to celebrating this exciting new chapter with you!

05.23.2014  Wedding Etiquette for the Bride and Groom

Deborah DePasquale Designs was recently featured in the Solutions section of the Albany Times Union in a story about wedding etiquette for betrothed couples. Which got us thinking about some blunders that many couples face leading up to their weddings, or on the big day itself.

We’ve put together some tips to keep in mind during this happy, though sometimes stressful , time.

1)      Hire a planner. Sure, this is obvious and expected, right? Having a wedding planner can save you from a lot of headaches and diffuse uncomfortable situations that are sensitive in nature. If a problem arises on your wedding day, the planner is the person who can quickly handle the issue, leaving you and your guests to enjoy the amazing day you’ve worked so hard to plan. Even having a day-of coordinator can be a huge help if a problem with a guest or vendor should pop up.

2)      Find a point person. If hiring a planner is not in the cards for you, pick one person you trust to handle difficult situations. A close friend or bridal party attendant is a great option; be honest with them and let them know if they should keep an eye out for a troublesome guest who might stir things up at the wedding. Let your point person know how you would like them to handle that guest, and have faith that they will follow through with their duty.

3)      Work together.  The bride and groom should be involved in the planning process. If a family member begins to dominate the planning conversations, have a discussion about how to handle it. Be unified in your actions and stand strong. Let the person who is closer to “the meddler” talk to them in a civil manner about their actions, and stand behind your future spouse. These conversations are never easy, but knowing you have your teammate as back-up can make a world of difference.

4)      Remember: It’s your day. While you might have to invite people you are not close to out of obligation, don’t invite anyone that doesn’t have your best interests in mind.

For more tips, you can read the Times Union story online. Have another etiquette tip? Need help with a difficult wedding situation? Leave us a comment below with your questions or feel free to reach out to us anytime.

03.18.2014  A time to refresh

Spring is a time for renewal and growth. The doldrums of winter are sloughed off and a new, more vibrant persona is revealed.

A new season is blossoming at Deborah DePasquale Designs, too! We have used this long, blustery, and bone-chilling winter to examine who we are and where we want to be going.  The end result has been a refresh to our studio on Beekman Street, a revamp to our website, and a reworking of some of our services to better suit you, our wonderful clients.

In the coming weeks, we will be rolling out our “newly remodeled” blog, sneak peeks of our studio updates, and details on some of the exciting events we are participating in this year.

What we are most enthused about is the tweaking of services that we are offering. We still provide stylish solutions for your event, home, and office, but our new endeavors will help you capture the essence of your life with ease, elegance, and grace.

We look forward to sharing more news soon! Stay up-to-date with DDD through Facebook, or you can join our mailing list or subscribe to our RSS feed.

04.06.2012  Here’s a Sneak Peek of What’s to Come!!

{Cocktails and Couture}

So, we’ve been off the blog-radar for a bit, but only because of all the busyness and excitement that has surrounded DDD! Since “officially” opening the doors to our studio, we’ve been on the most wonderful adventure in styling and event planning. From planning weddings, to organizing special events, to styling photo shoots and both home and office decor, we have had our hands full. But that’s just how we like it: The more we are out in the world, taking in the latest trends (or setting them!) and exploring new ideas, the better we are at offering our couture event planning and stylish services to our clients.

Now spring is here, and love is in the air at the DDD studio! We have lots of pictures, event news, and inspiration to share with you, and we can’t wait! Thank you to those who have checked in with us regularly to see what we have been up to, we appreciate your patience with us.

In the meantime, you can always check out our Facebook page for the latest information on what we have going on and where we have been. Come like us to stay in the loop!

07.14.2011  DDD Studio Tour

We are thrilled to share our new studio! After a very successful Open House, we have been bursting with activity at the studio and absolutely love our new “home base” from which to plan events and weddings from. Working with Rena and Heather was a blast and I was able to meet so many wonderful people. Besides having the support of friends and family there, I was so honored to have other event and wedding vendors celebrating with us and local business owners, engaged couples and others interested in DDD’s services stop in and say hello! It was great to see so many new and familiar faces.

All the late nights, last-minute Lowes runs, and spats of backaches paid off – the studio is finished! Watching the transformation of the barebones box to the inspiring space that exists now was remarkable. Just like DDD does for special events, I incorporated “my story” into my design of the studio. So many of the things I love comprise the studio, and I am excited to share it with my clients! For those who couldn’t make it to the open house, would you like to take a “virtual tour?”

Thanks again to my wonderful neighbors, Rena and Heather, for hosting the Open House with me. I’d also like to thank my friends for their pep-talks and my family for its love. An especially-special thank you belongs to my husband. He is my biggest cheerleader and when the going was tough, he was always there to push me forward. Even with his busy schedule, he made time to move furniture, handle deliveries, and put a broom to good use (love you!). I’m so lucky he is mine.

Now that DDD’s studio is officially “open for business,” please feel free to get in touch and set up an appointment to discuss your upcoming events. Let’s see what amazing memories we can create together!

Thanks for  checking in with us and we hope to see you back here again soon for more exciting news and updates!
